Overnight Slow Cooker Steel Cut Oats Recipe

- 3 apples diced ($1.92)

- 1/2 tsp ginger ($0.25)

- 2 cups pecans or walnuts chopped, optional for topping ($3.50)
Add-ins for PB&J Oatmeal Flavor
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter ($1.50)
- 1/2 cup jelly ($1.50) for serving
- fresh fruit, peanuts, additional peanut butter for serving
Instructions
Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal
- Add all base oatmeal ingredients to the slow cooker along with the cinnamon apple oatmeal flavor ingredients. Stir through and slow cook for 7-8 hours on low.
- Serve with pecans, walnuts, and freshly chopped apples.
PB&J Oatmeal
- Add all base oatmeal ingredients to the slow cooker along with the natural peanut butter. Stir through and slow cook for 7-8 hours on low.
- Serve with jelly, fresh fruit, peanuts, and additional peanut butter.
Banana Walnut Oatmeal
- Mash the bananas in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add all base ingredients, along with 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Cook for 7-8 hours on low.
- Serve with chopped walnuts, sliced bananas, and maple syrup to taste.
