There’s a common misconception that sweet potatoes are the only healthy potato. In reality, all potatoes come with different nutrients. Potatoes are packed with potassium, vitamin C, vitamin B6, fiber, and more, depending on what kind of potato you’re looking at. They also contain zero cholesterol, virtually zero fat, very little sodium, are low in calories, and are super satisfying.

Potatoes are a high quality carbohydrate, meaning they give your body energy and the fuel it needs to function. Potatoes are my favorite pre-workout food because they give me a ton of energy and keep me from getting hungry while I’m exercising.

Russet Potatoes
